So, you’ve been selected in one of the top 10 law schools in India. That’s amazing, congratulations! You are part of an elite group now. This group is as successful as they are busy. We are not trying to scare you, we are only trying to make you ready for the challenge ahead. A law school has a very difficult and demanding curriculum. To be efficient, time management must be your forte. Now if you are good at it, there’s nothing as good as that. But, if you’re not, don't worry, we’ve got your back! Here are a few simple tips for you to manage your time in law school and have a good academic as well as social life.
Have a weekly calendar
A monthly calendar can miss the necessary details and end up being a superficial one. A good solution here is to prepare a weekly calendar. All you will have to do is take some minutes off your weekend to prepare a weekly calendar. It will contain all the necessary details such as your classes, meeting a friend, watching a movie etc. Besides, it will be flexible to house last-minute changes.
Minimize distractions
Relaxation is necessary. Some distractions can help you relax and unwind. Though, not every distraction helps you relax. Gazing through several apps on your cell phone is certainly not one. Several such distractions make you unproductive. You will have to look into your daily activities for such distractions and minimize them. No one can do this for you.
Set micro-goals
Gigantic goals are difficult to accomplish. This is why, you should determine this huge goal and then break it down into micro-sized achievable goals. When you achieve the micro-goals you have set, you will have a sense of achievement. This will keep you motivated to accomplish your larger goals.
Define your responsibilities
You must have certain responsibilities as a son, a student, a friend and priorities associated with those responsibilities. You have to understand all the responsibilities you render. You have to define which responsibilities and which priorities are important. Make more time for the important ones and avoid the unimportant ones that don’t serve your benefit.
Life before appearing for a law admission test is really easy. But as they say easy choices, hard life, Hard choices, easy life. You have made a hard choice, which is going to lead in an easy life. We wish you have a great time at college and a successful career.
